Biographical Information[edit]
Qinghua Li has played in the China Baseball League and for the Chinese national team.
Li was with China for the 1997 Asian Championship. [1] He was the starting left fielder for China in the 2002 World University Championship, the first World University Championship. He hit .143/.143/.190 with three runs and no RBI in six games, handling four putouts with no errors. [2] He hit .368 in the 2002 Asian Games, homering off Fernando Badrina. He had three hits in the Bronze Medal Game loss to Japan. [3]
In the 2002 Intercontinental Cup, he was 2 for 10 with a hit-by-pitch and a RBI. Mainly playing center, he had 10 putouts, 2 assists and no errors for some fine defense. [4] He played for China in the 2003 Asian Championship. [5] He also played for the Beijing Tigers of the China Baseball League, at least in 2003-2004. [6]
