Biographical Information[edit]
Pyeong-ho Cho played in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korea national baseball team.
Cho was drafted by the Hyundai Unicorns in the second round of the 2004 KBO draft, but he mainly stayed in the minors in his first seven seasons, and he only got 31 at-bats combined with the big club. He also missed two years due to military service. The NC Dinos selected him in the expansion draft, and Cho represented Korea in the 2012 Asian Championship. He was 1-for-3 against the Philippines, and he went 1-for-4 against China. Cho then crushed a homer against Tariq Nadeem of Pakistan, and he was 0-for-1 against Japan. South Korea won Bronze in the event. He hit .266/.318/.418 in 26 games in 2013, but he was placed in the minors again, and he only played 31 games combined with the big club in the next three seasons. His batting line was .227/.333/.364 in 29 games in 2017, then he announced his retirement.
Overall, Cho hit .223/.294/.348 with 41 hits in 9 seasons in the KBO.
