Biographical Information

Po-Yang Huang pitched in the CPBL for 2 years.

Huang was drafted by the EDA Rhinos in the 7th round of the 2013 CPBL Draft, and he had a solid 2.27 ERA in 28 games in 2014. However, his ERA rose to 10.39 in 8 games in 2015, and he spent his 2016 season in the minor league. Huang announced his retirement after the 2016 season,and he became a coach for the Fubon Guardians.

Huang’s repertoire included a fastball (peak 89.4 mph), slider, curveball and forkball.

Overall, Huang was 1-3 with a 3.72 ERA ,pitched 48 1/3 innings and struck out 19 in 2 seasons in the CPBL.
