Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Po-Hao Huang played in the CPBL.

Huang represented Taiwan in the 2019 World Port Tournament, hitting .294/.400/.588 as Taiwan's main first baseman and handling 27 chances error-free. He was 5h in slugging (between Nick DiBenedetto and Denzel Richardson). He was drafted by the Wei Chuan Dragons in the 20th round of the 2019 CPBL Draft, and he hit .342/.416/.627 with 16 homers in the minors in 2020. He set the minor league record with 25 doubles in a season, and he led the league in homers and slugging. He was 4th in batting (between Chi-Hung Liu and Cheng-Hua Yueh), 4th in hits (between Chu-Hsuan Yeh and Hsiao-Cheng Lin) and 2nd in RBI (2 behind Liu). Huang made his CPBL debut on July 13, 2021, and he collected his first career hit against Mike Loree. He ended up hitting .210/.283/.318 with 2 homers in '21 season, and he struggled in 2022. Huang only hit .188/.316/.188 in 8 games in 2022, and he spent most of the season in the minors.

The Kaohsiung native was placed in the minor league for the entire 2023 season, and his batting line was .211/.280/.298 there. He improved to .282/.344/.570 with a league-leading 10 homers in 2024, and he also recorded a .222/.260/.356 batting line in 24 games for the big club.
