Peter Negri
Pete Negri was a minor league umpire in the 1940s and 1950. He started off in the Evangeline League in 1947, the worked in the Big State League, the Lone Star League (both in 1948), the East Texas League (1949-1950) and the West Texas-New Mexico League (1951).
Almost three decades later, in 1979, he worked one National League game as a replacement umpire during the umpires' strike. He had presumably worked as an amateur umpire in the interim.
