Paul Torres played in the minor leagues and CPBL.

Torres was signed by the Chicago Cubs in 1989, and he hit .236/.359/.403 in his first season for the Wytheville Cubs. He had a .266/.372/.472 batting line for the Geneva Cubs in 1990, and he also played 36 games with a .244/.326/.415 batting line for the Peoria Chiefs. Torres struggled in 1991 as his batting line fell to .213/.323/.403 with the Chiefs, and he also batted .115/.228/.195 with the Winston-Salem Spirits. He bounced back in 1992, and his batting line was .238/.328/.389 for the Spirits.

In 1993, Torres had a .278/.380/.465 batting line with the Daytona Cubs, and he also reached AA and played 19 games with the Orlando Cubs. He then hit .311/.382/.578 in 26 games in Daytona in 1994, and he crushed 10 homers with a .238/.364/.450 batting line in Orlando. Torres had a .298/.377/.500 batting line in Orlando with 10 homers in 1995, and he crushed another 10 homers with a .225/.304/.403 batting line for the Arkansas Travelers after the Cubs traded him with Francisco Morales and Mike Morgan for Todd Zeile and cash. in the middle of the season. He remained with the Travelers in 1996, and he blasted 11 homers with a .262/.357/.421 batting line. Torres became a free agent after the 1996 season, and he signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners.

Torres hit .344/.439/.491 with the Memphis Chicks in 1997, and he also had a .301/.346/.464 batting line for the AAA Tacoma Rainiers. He recorded a .276/.367/.405 with 12 homers in 1998 with the Orlando Rays. The Mercuries Tigers of Taiwan then signed him, and Torres hit .288/.392/.409 in 25 games. He returned to the US and hit .290/.340/.458 for the Sacramento Steelheads, and blasted 17 homers with a .294/.363/.489 batting line in 2000 for the Solano Steelheads. After playing in the Mexican League in 2001, Torres returned to Solano and played here in his last two seasons; his batting line was .315/.393/.535 and .221/.361/.361 respectively.
