He walked Gilberto Celestino and Geraldo Perdomo to force in one run then retired Otto López but Alfredo Marte smacked a three-run double. Josephina fanned former big leaguer Carlos Peguero to end the inning. In the 7th, Franklin Van Gurp took over. His other contest was much shorter. Relieving Mike Bolsenbroek with a 4-0 deficit in the 7th against Mexico, he walked Jorge Flores and Jon Jones. Diegomar Markwell replaced him; both runners would score but would be unearned. Only Martis finished with a higher ERA for the Netherlands than Josephina's 27.00 and no one had a higher RA on the staff. [1]
