Noelia Moreno has been on the Dominican women's national team.
When the Dominicans debuted in the 2018 Women's Baseball World Cup, she was their starting backstop and #5 hitter in their opener against defending champion Japan. She singled off Rina Taniyama in the second for the first hit ever for the Dominican women's team. She hit .188/.350/.250 for the event, handling 37 chances error-free and allowing 28 steals in 32 tries. She allowed the most swipes (8 ahead of Lotte Tanke) but also tied Yordanka Rodríguez for the most runners thrown out. [1] In the 2022 Women's Baseball Americas World Cup Qualifier, she hit .421/.522/.474 with five RBI in six games, with no errors in 28 chances and throwing out 2 of 12. She led the team in hits, RBI (tied) and OBP. For the event, she was 5th in hits, tied for 4th in RBI, tied for first in walks (4), allowed the most steals and tied Jenny Ortiz for most caught stealing. [2]
