Biographical Information[edit]
Nils Eilertz has played for the Swedish national team.
Eilertz hit .187/.300/.218 for the 2008 Leksand Lumberjacks in his Elitserien debut, at age 16. In '09, he batted .250/.351/.312 followed by a batting line of .218/.264/.250 during 2010. In 2011, the Skövde native hit .297/.400/.367. He also spent part of the year in college in the US. In 2012, he became a regular for Leksand and hit .241/.307/.310. He played error-free ball in the outfield for Leksand from 2009-2012. He went 0 for 2 as a backup outfielder for Sweden in the 2012 European Championship, playing behind Björn Johannessen in right and Christoffer Johansson in center. Both at-bats came late in blowout losses, as he flew out against Christian Decher in a 10-3 loss to Germany and struck out versus Jorge Balboa during a 13-1 loss to Spain.
