Biographical Information

Christian Decher is a German pitcher.

Decher was 1-0 with a 2.00 ERA in the 2009 European Junior Championship, striking out nine and walking six in nine innings. He debuted in the Bundesliga-1 in 2010 with the Mainz Athletics, going 1-0 with a 2.93 ERA in five games. He fell to 1-3 with two saves and a 7.71 ERA in 2011, walking 24 in 18 2/3 IP. In 2012, the Mainz righty was resurgent, going 1-4 with two saves and a 4.59 ERA, striking out 58 in 51 innings. He made the German national team for the 2012 European Championship.
