Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Nick Longmire played in the St. Louis Cardinals system from 2010 to 2013. He was drafted twice, initially by the Oakland Athletics in the 37th round of the 2007 amateur draft. He was then taken by St. Louis in the 5th round of the 2010 amateur draft, one pick after pitcher Heath Hembree. He was signed by scout Jeff Ishii.

He slashed .287/.372/.483 with 9 home runs, 55 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 68 games for the Batavia Muckdogs his first campaign, but never hit better than .242 after that. Overall, he hit .240/.297/.370 with 31 home runs, 180 RBI and 42 stolen bases in 387 games over four seasons. He peaked at Double-A.

He was a New York-Penn League Mid-Season All-Star and a MiLB.com Organization All-Star in 2010.
