Nathan Richard Tomlinson

Biographical Information[edit]

Nate Tomlinson umpired his first major league game on August 7, 2020. He was one of 19 umpires who made their debut during the season. He attended the Jim Evans umpire academy, graduating in 2010 and worked in the Arizona League, Northwest League, Midwest League, Florida State League, Texas League and Pacific Coast League. He worked the 2017 Futures Game in Miami, FL and the 2016 Texas League All-Star Game. He went into umpiring school right after graduating from high school, then worked in the summer collegiate Northwoods League before obtaining his first professional assignment.

He attended the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point while pursuing his minor league apprenticeship.
