Biographical Information[edit]

Cheong-ok Kim played for the first South Korean national team to win an Asian Championship, in 1963. He then pitched for them in the 1967 Asian Championship, and he coached South Korea in the 1983 Asian Championship, 1984 Olympics, 1985 Intercontinental Cup and 1987 Asian Championship. Kim also coached Gwangju Jeil High School from 1976 to 1979. He was the pitching coach of the Lotte Giants from 1987 to 1989.
