Morgan Mpofu
Morgan Mpofu played for the Bronze Medal-winning Zimbabwean national team in the 1999 All Africa Games. He pitched twice. Relieving Ozias Moyo against the powerful host South African national team, he allowed 9 hits, 3 walks and 13 earned runs in 1/3 of an inning before Tinei Billiat closed out a 37-2 loss. He relieved Nhauro Mpanguri with a 25-1 lead in the 4th against the last-place Ugandan national team and worked three shutout innings (4 H, 1 BB, 4 K). Due to his poor turn against South Africa, though, he finished with Zimbabwe's second-highest ERA (only Billiat was higher). He also batted once, replacing Neil Burne at DH late in a 31-5 romp over Lesotho and going 1 for 1 with a RBI.
