He closed out their loss to Gold Medal-winning South Africa, relieving Morgan Mpofu and allowing 12 hits, 2 walks and 10 earned runs in 1 1/3 IP while fanning two. He got the start against Ghana and gave up 6 hits, one walk and five earned runs in one inning, striking out none, in a loss; he was relieved by Freedom Moyo.
