Biographical Information[edit]
Ming-Chueh Tsai played in the CPBL for 5 years.
Tsai represented Taiwan in the 2007 World Port Tournament, hitting .321 to lead Taiwan, .005 ahead of Yi-Chuan Lin. He also was with them for the 2008 Haarlemse Honkbalweek and 2008 World University Baseball Championship (going 2 for 7 with a walk, run and a RBI). The Brother Elephants selected him in the sixth round of the 2009 CPBL Draft, and he hit .272/.387/.320 in the minor league in 2010. Tsai then recorded a .206/.270/.206 batting line in 2011, and he improved to .313/.348/.391 in 2012. However, he slumped to .194/.232/.232 in 2013, so he only got 37 at-bats combined in the next two seasons. He was released after the 2015 season, and his professional career ended. Tsai also represented Taiwan in the 2017 World Port Tournament, going 1 for 7.
Overall, Tsai had hit .228/.280/.272 with 74 hits in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
