Biographical Information

Ming-Cheng Lin was a manager in Taiwan.

A second baseman during his playing days (he won a batting title in college), Lin coached Taipei City University in 1969. He coached for Taiwan in the 1973 Asian Championship (Bronze) and 1973 Intercontinental Cup then managed Taiwan in the 1976 Amateur World Series, 1981 World Junior Championship, 1983 Asian Championship (tied for first) and 1984 Olympics (third place, but baseball was not yet a medal sport). He was General Manager of the Chinatrust Whales from 2004-2008. In 2019, he made the Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame.
