Mineros (Serie Nacional)

The Mineros (Miners) joined the Cuban Serie Nacional as an expansion team in 1967-1968 representing the Santiago de Cuba Province. They never won a championship but did finish second on two occasions. In 1971-1972 they finished tied with the Azucareros at the end of the regular season but lost to them in a playoff. They played their last season in 1976-1977.
