Azucareros (Serie Nacional)

The Azucareros (Sugar Makers) were inaugural members of the Cuban Serie Nacional in 1962. Based in Villa Clara Province they won three championships. MVPs from the Azucareros were Modesto Verdura (1962-1963), Antonio Muñoz (1973-1974), Isidro Pérez (1976-1977). The team vanished after 1976-1977 when the Serie Nacional was restructured
