Biographical Information[edit]

"There may have been better ballplayers than Milt Galatzer, but there was never a better man." - quote attributed to Bob Feller by the Jewish Baseball Museum site [1]

Milt Galatzer played five seasons in the big leagues during the 1930s, mostly for the Cleveland Indians. Primarily an outfielder, his best season was in 1935 when he had his most plate appearances, 302, and hit .301 with good walks but not much power.

Milt was born in Chicago, IL and attended high school in that city. He played 12 seasons in the minors, including five years with the Indianapolis Indians, parts of three with the Toledo Mud Hens and parts of two with the New Orleans Pelicans. His lifetime minor league batting average was .321.
