Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Mike Zywica was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 24th round of the 1996 amateur draft and played six seasons in their organization, reaching the AAA level with the Oklahoma RedHawks in 1999 and 2000. Following a stint in the independent leagues, he was in the Chicago White Sox system in 2002, splitting that summer between three levels. Overall, he played 300 games at triple-A but never made it to the majors.

In the 140 years of professional baseball in the United States, Zywica is the last man on the all-time alphabetical roster, and Al Aaberg is the first.

He was signed by scout Mike Daughtry.
