Mike Sgobba was baseball coach at Fullerton College from 1961 to 1985. He posted 487 wins during that span and led the team to South Coast Conference titles in 1971 and 1982. He developed numerous major leaguers, including Al Hrabosky, Mike Adams, Bill Bathe, Steve Kiefer, Dave Leiper, Dennis Paepke, Gary Wheelock. He managed the Lewiston Broncs of the Northwest League in 1973. He also was a Oakland Athletics and Chicago White Sox scout and had scouted for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2001 until his death in 2011.
