Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Rabelo was part of a major deal in December of 2007. He was sent with Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, Dallas Trahern, Eulogio De La Cruz and Burke Badenhop from the Detroit Tigers to the Florida Marlins for Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis.
Rabelo was hitting coach of the GCL Tigers in 2011 and Connecticut Tigers in 2012-2013. Rabelo got his first managerial assignment with Connecticut in 2014. After the 2019 season he managed the Mesa Solar Sox of the Arizona Fall League.
In 2020, he moved into the major league coaching ranks as assistant hitting coach of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 2021, he moved to major league field coordinator, then returned to the coaching ranks in 2022 as third base coach.
