Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Montville played college ball at the University of Maryland, College Park and Southern New Hampshire University. After college he played for the Rockland Boulders of the independent Canadian-American Association from 2016-2018. He hit .234/.333/.426 in three seasons as a starting outfielder, with 21 HR his last year. Following his playing days, Montville became a co-owner of PowerHouse Sports in Seabrook, NH.
The Boston Red Sox hired Montville to coach the GCL Red Sox in 2020 before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the minor league season. The next year Montville joined the new Worcester Red Sox team and worked as a coach in 2021 and as an assistant hitting coach in 2022-2023. After the latter season he coached the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League.
Montville joined the Baltimore Orioles organization in 2024 and was the hitting coach of the Norfolk Tides.
