Biographical Information[edit]

Miguel López has played in French Division I and for the French national team.

He debuted with the La Rochelle Boucaniers in 2023, hitting .280/.396/.366 with 20 runs in 24 games, going 8-for-11 in steal attempts. He was 9th in the league in runs, tied Alexander Perdomo for the most times plunked (9), was second in putouts (202), tied for second with 43 steals allowed (2 behind Gabriel Do Carmo) and was second with 14 runners thrown out stealing (one behind Do Carmo). [1] In the 2023 U23 European Championship, he hit .231/.474/.385 while being France's main backstop. [2]

With Nolan Soliveres at catcher in the 2023 European Championship, Miguel was used at third base. He debuted against the Netherlands, grounding out against former big leaguer Shairon Martis his first at-bat. His first hit was a single off Ukraine's Ihor Lukin. For the event, he hit .308/.526/.308 with four runs in five games; he had three walks and three times plunked. He fielded .938. He tied Achielleas Karaiskos, Robel García and Max Jung-Goldberg for the lead in HBP. [3]
