Biographical Information[edit]

Miguel Egea has been on the Puerto Rican national team.

He hit .308/.389/.378 in junior college in 2014-2015. [1] He hit .350/.480/.400 with six runs in five games when Puerto Rico won the 2022 Caribbean Baseball Cup. He tied Guillermo Avilés, Luis Mateo and Dudley Leonora for 4th in runs, tied for 5th in hits (7) and tied for second with three steals. He joined Rayshelon Carolina and Shean Michel as the All-Star outfielders. [2] He was 2-for-3 with 3 walks, 2 steals, 3 runs and a RBI in the 2023 Caribbean Baseball Cup. [3] In the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, he started in center field in the opener and laid down a sacrifice bunt against Brayan Salaya of Venezuela his first time up. He finished 1-for-7 with a double and a run, handling five putouts without an error; his hit came off Mexico's Alexandro Tovalín. [4]
