Biographical Information[edit]
Michelle Roche debuted for Canada in the final stage of the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup at age 18. Her first game was against Mexico, when she succeeded Alexane Fournier in the 6th with a 7-2 lead. She hit Daniela Leal but Marcela Diaz flew out and Rocio Barajas hit into a double play. Her fine work continued in the 7th when she retired Samaria Benítez and Maria Valenzuela. Edith De Leija reached on an error but Roche got Denise Perez to end the game. Starting against Wen-Ching Hsieh of Taiwan, she allowed eight hits and seven runs (six earned) in 2 2/3 IP; Liz Gilder took over and Canada rallied to win. They got the Bronze. [1]
