He was the 4th of 7 hurlers in a 20-2 loss against the Netherlands, replacing Jared Elario and allowing a hit, walk and three unearned runs in 2/3 IP. Townend took over for him. [1] In the 2007 Baseball World Cup, he relieved Gavin Jeffries and closed out a 11-1 loss to Japan with 3 unearned runs (including a Yasuyuki Saigo homer) in one inning. He also finished up a 7-4 loss to Spain, succeeding Carl Michaels and allowing two runs in 1 1/3 IP, his first earned runs in a Baseball World Cup. His 7.71 ERA was better than the team's mark of 8.09 [2]

Mackrory pitched to only one batter in the 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament. Relieving Jeffries, he served up a homer to Canada's Chris Robinson to make it a 10-0 mercy rule loss. [3]
