Biographical Information[edit]

Mauricio Nagahashi was one of two Argentinians signed by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in December 2006 (Lucas Nakandakare was the other). He hit .202/.284/.231 for the 2007 VSL Rays, not good for a DH. In 2008, he batted .168/.262/.211 while alternating between DH and left field (.905 fielding). He was their regular left fielder in 2009, fielding .923 while hitting .245/.308/.355.

Let go by Tampa Bay, he signed with the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2011, he produced at a .202/.328/.249 clip for the DSL Blue Jays, stole 15 bases in 21 tries and fielded .966 as their main left fielder. He led the team with 31 walks and tied for the team lead in steals. He was the All-Star RF in the 2011 South American Championship, led the event in steals and helped the Argentinian national team that the Gold Medal. He was with Argentina for another Gold in the 2012 South American Championship.

With the independent McAllen Thunder in 2013, he hit .205/.295/.231. He played for Argentina when they repeated as titlists, winning the 2013 South American Championship. He played in the 2015 South American Championship. He was on the Argentinian national team that took the Silver Medal in the 2016 South American Championship, going 2 for 9 with two walks, a steal and two runs.
