Biographical Information[edit]

Mark Fleury played as high as AA.

Fleury was All-State as a high school senior, then was 2 for 7 with 3 walks as a college freshman. Splitting time with Tim Federowicz in 2008, he hit .275/.360/.389. He backed up Tommy Medica with the 2009 Harwich Mariners, producing at a .238/.301/.357 clip. With Federowicz graduating, Fleury started in 2009 and batted .309/.400/.560 with 59 runs and 60 RBI in 66 games. The Cincinnati Reds picked Mark in the 4th round of the 2009 amateur draft; the scout was Perry Smith.

Fleury hit .198/.284/.382 for the 2009 Billings Mustangs, with 14 passed balls in 37 games behind the plate. With the 2010 Dayton Dragons, he batted .255/.352/.433 with 26 doubles and 11 home runs. He split 2011 between the AZL Reds (1 for 7, 3 BB), Bakersfield Blaze (.278/.390/.414 in 51 G) and Carolina Mudcats (1 for 6, HR). As the primary catcher for the 2012 Pensacola Blue Wahoos, he struggled, hitting .160/.330/.230 with 72 whiffs in 187 at-bats. He moved to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim chain for 2013, his final pro campaign.
