Biographical Information[edit]

A pitcher listed alternatively as Mario Germán' and Mario Garmán pitched for the Dominican national team in the 2022 Bolivarian Games. He closed out a 11-4 win over Colombia, relieving Edwin Adon and retiring Gerson Jiménez on a grounder. He got the credit for the win despite entering with a 7-run lead and getting one out. His next game, he again faced one batter; relieving Isaac Silva with two on, two out and a 6-1 lead in the 6th. He struck out Andrés Hamamoto of Peru then was succeeded in the 7th by Ricardo Andújar. His final game was more than one batter as he closed out Alfredo Figaro's 6-2 win over Colombia, striking out the side of Edilberto Mendoza, Bryan Niño and Keiner Manrique. He had retired all five batters he faced in the Games, four of them by K. He led the Gold Medal winners in games pitched and tied for the lead in the Games overall. [1]
