Marc Marsch has been a longtime player in the Bundesliga.

Marsch played for Germany in the 1993 European Junior Championship, going 0 for 1. He debuted in the Bundesliga in 1995 with his hometown Düsseldorf club, hitting .238/.392/.254 with 10 steals in 25 games. In '96, he batted .323/.475/.403 and swiped 11 bags. In 1997, Marsch hit .431/.544/.597 with 20 RBI in 26 games for the Bonn Capitals. He was 5th in the northern Bundesliga-1 in average, 3rd in OBP, 9th in slugging and first with four triples. In the 1997 European Championship, Marsch was Germany's big star, hitting .360/.467/.520 and leading the event with 9 steals in 7 games.

In '98, the 22-year-old had a batting line of .271/.427/.395 with Bonn, scoring 41 bases in 40 games and stealing 24 bases in 32 tries. He tied for 9th in runs. During 1999, he hit .372/.481/.477 for the Cologne Dodgers, going 15-for-16 in steal attempts and scoring 27 runs in 27 contests. He was 7th in steal percentage and tied for 7th in runs.

Marsch was 1 for 8 in the 1999 European Championship though he was hit by pitch twice. In the 2000 Bundesliga campaign, he batted .304/.398/.464. He had a batting line of .304/.505/.342 with 26 steals in 28 tries for the 2001 Dodgers, scoring 36 runs and drawing 28 walks in 26 games. He finished second in runs behind Octavio Medina and would have been 4th in OBP had he qualified.

Marc hit .253/.431/.347 for Cologne in 2002. The speedy outfielder was second with 22 walks, 6th with 24 runs and third with 14 steals. In '03, he batted .294/.473/.397 with 21 steals in 24 tries and 34 runs in 24 outings. He led the league in runs, was second in walks (17), was second in strikeouts (19), was 9th in OBP and led in steals.

Back with Bonn in 2004, Marsch produced at a .304/.444/.367 rate. He tied for third in the loop with 18 walks and led with 27 strikeouts. In '05, Marc batted only .227/.408/.253. He tied for 6th in walks (17) and tied for 4th in steals (11).

Marsch was 0 for 2 in 2006, then hit .299/.467/.338 in 2007. He scored 27 runs in 24 games and stole 14 bases in 16 tries. He tied Dominik Wulf for 4th in runs, tied for 3rd with 19 walks and tied for 4th in steals. Marc's batting line for the 2008 Capitals was .271/.444/.354 with 24 walks and 28 runs in 26 games. He led the league with 29 strikeouts and tied for the lead with five outfield assists.

In 2009, Marsch went 8 for 33 with five walks and two steals.
