Biographical Information[edit]
Lukáš Hlouch has played in the Extraliga and for the Czech national team.
His two-run double in the bottom of the 5th capped a comeback win over Grosse Pointe, MI in a consolation game in the 2013 Little League World Series. [1] It was the first win ever for a Czech team in a Little League World Series. [2] He made his Extraliga debut in 2017 with the Třebíč Nuclears (who made their Extraliga debut that year), hitting .185/.242/.239 and posting a 0-3, 5.52 record. [3] He was 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA for the Czechs in the 2018 European Junior Championship; they finished third and his loss came to second-place Spain. [4]
Hlouch was 4-6 with a save and a 3.12 ERA for the 2018 Nuclears. [5] He was a late addition to the Czech team for the 2018 Super6; he was the team's youngest player. He debuted for the national team in a loss to Spain, relieving Ondřej Furko with a 11-3 deficit in the 7th and allowing only one unearned run in three innings, on three hits and a walk while fanning two (Richard Montiel and Eric Segura). [6] He was one of two Czechs to make the World Select Team for the Arizona Fall Showcase, an event highlighting top amateur prospects; Daniel Padyšák was the other Czech player. [7]
