Biographical Information

Pitcher Logan White was signed by the Seattle Mariners and scout Jeff Malinoff as a 23rd round pick in the 1984 amateur draft. He played three seasons in the Mariners organization, going 5-12. He debuted in 1984 with the Butte Copper Kings, where his record was 3-3 with 6 saves and a 2.52 ERA in 25 games. He struck out 38 in 35 2/3 IP and tied for second in the Pioneer League in saves. In 1985, White was with the Wausau Timbers, with a 2-6 record, 4 saves and a 4.38 ERA. He struck out 78 in 86 1/3 IP but walked 44. In 1986, Logan played for the Salinas Spurs. Pitching in 40 games, he had a 0-3 record, two saves and a 5.14 ERA.

After his playing career ended, he was an associate scout for the Mariners in 1988-1989, area scout for the Baltimore Orioles in 1990-1992 and west coast scouting supervisor for the San Diego Padres in 1993-1995. He returned to the Orioles as west coast scouting supervisor in 1996-2001. White joined the Los Angeles Dodgers as scouting director from 2002 to 2007. He was then promoted to Assistant General Manager, Scouting in 2008, being replaced by Tim Hallgren. He was again the Dodgers' scouting director a few years later, then after the 2014 season, he was replaced by Billy Gasparino.
