Biographical Information[edit]
Lisa Turbitt has been an umpire for the 2004 Women's Baseball World Cup (working the Gold Medal Game and also becoming the first female to work home plate in an international competition), 2006 Women's Baseball World Cup, 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup and 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers (becoming the first woman to work a World Baseball Classic event). In 2004, Baseball Canada named her the Senior Umpire of the Year. Off the field, she has been a teacher and boys' high school volleyball coach.
