Biographical Information[edit]
Leonardo De Donno has been an outfielder in the Italian Baseball League.
De Donno debuted in 2010, drawing two walks and getting no at-bats in four games for Nettuno. With Grosseto in 2011, he hit .234/.311/.411 with four triples, tying Daniel Bittar for the IBL lead. He moved to Fortitudo Bologna for 2012 as their starter in center; he hit .198/.343/.267. He was better in the 2012 European Cup, though. In the first round, he was 2 for 10 with a walk, two hit-by-pitch and a homer (off René Franke). In the Final Four, he won MVP honors in leading Bologna to victory. He went 2 for 3 with a walk and a RBI in the opening 4-0 win over the Rouen Huskies. In the finale, he went 2 for 5 with a steal and a RBI. In the bottom of the 9th with the game even at 3 against his old Nettuno club, he drove in Claudio Liverziani with a hit off Carlos Richetti.
