Biographical Information[edit]
Landon Adelman is the son of a Canadian father and a mother from New Zealand. Growing up in Canada, Adelman proceeded to college ball in the US. Due to his New Zealand parentage and dual citizenship, he got to pitch for New Zealand in the 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. In his debut, the lefty gave up four runs in 1/3 of an inning in a 10-0 loss to host Taiwan. He relieved Lincoln Holdzkom in the 4th with one on and two out and retired Yen-Wen Kuo. In the 5th, though, he allowed doubles to Yung-Chi Chen and Chih-Kang Kao followed by singles to Cheng-Wei Chang and Chien-Ming Chang. Joseph Boyce relieved and allowed both inherited runners to score. In his other outing, Adelman replaced Christian Wise with a 9-0 deficit in the finale against Taiwan, with two outs in the 8th. He retired Yen-Wen Kuo again.
