Biographical Information[edit]

The son of Ron Roenicke, outfielder Lance Roenicke spent two seasons as a pro player.

Lance Roenicke hit .325 with a .425 OBP as a high school senior; he also was an All-League quarterback in high school. He was redshirted as a college freshman, then hit .196/.263/.471 with 7 of his 10 hits going for extra bases as a sophomore. He fell to .190/.269/.250 as a redshirt sophomore in 2011. In 2012, he made big progress, producing at a .310/.361/.462 clip with 18 doubles and 38 runs in 55 games. He set a school record with 16 sacrifice hits.

He was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers (which his father was managing) in the 25th round of the 2012 amateur draft. He made his pro debut with the Helena Brewers on June 18th, and after going 7-for-13 in 3 games, was promoted to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He hit .245/.284/.322 in 42 games for Wisconsin. He split 2014 between the Timber Rattlers (8 for 32, 2 BB, HR) and Brevard County Manatees (.223/.257/.326 in 68 G) to end his playing career. He had hit .243/.283/.335 with 45 runs and 41 RBI in 123 games in the minors.

Roenicke became a coach with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2014.

Roenicke is also the nephew of Gary Roenicke and the cousin of Josh Roenicke, Jason Roenicke, and Jarett Roenicke.
