Biographical Information[edit]

Kyle Arnsberg is the son of Brad Arnsberg and nephew of Tim Arnsberg.

Kyle was All-Conference in both baseball and football in high school. The Boston Red Sox took him in the 45th round of the 2009 amateur draft but he did not sign. Going on to Arizona State University, he went to the 2010 College World Series as a freshman. He transferred to McLennan Community College in 2011 and was again drafted, this time by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 40th round of the 2011 amateur draft. Arnsberg did not sign with the Cardinals either and finished his college career at Louisiana Tech University in 2013 with a dual degree in science and marketing. He stayed at LTU for an additional year to earn a MBA.

Arnsberg's first foray into professional baseball occurred in April 2015 when the New York Yankees hired him as a bullpen catcher. He returned in the same role in 2016. According to his LinkedIn page, he spent 2017 with the Yankees in an Assistant Player Development and Minor League Operations role and 2019 with the Philadelphia Phillies as a Player Development Associate. Neither of these could be confirmed by other sources.

In 2020 Arnsberg joined the Cincinnati Reds organization as a Video Technology Assistant with the Louisville Bats. When the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19, the Reds assigned him to help at their alternative training site. He moved to a different role in 2021 as the Game Planning Coach with the Chattanooga Lookouts. After the season ended, he worked as a coach for the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League. In 2022, he joined the major league coaching staff as one of three assistant coaches. He remained an assistant coach in 2023 and took on additional responsibilities as Coordinator of Advance Scouting.
