Biographical Information[edit]

Kwang-keun Lee played in the Korea Baseball Organization for 7 years.

Lee played for South Korea in the 1985 Intercontinental Cup. The Chungbo Pintos selected him in the first round of the 1986 KBO draft, and he hit .180/.288/.220 in 23 games in his first season. He then hit .267/.327/.333 in 1987, and he crushed 5 homers with a .298/.358/.468 batting line in 1988. Lee only had a .264/.342/.375 batting line in 1989, then he batted .277/.385/.421 in 1990. He went 0-for-8 in 1991, and he recorded a .234/.316/.343 batting line in 94 games in 1992.

He announced his retirement after the 1992 season, and he became a coach. Lee was the fielding coach of the Pacific Dolphins minor league team from 1995 to 1998, and he was the baserunning coach of the Hyundai Unicorns from 1999 to 2006. He then became the bench coach for the Hyundai Unicorns in 2007, for the Seoul Heroes from 2009 to 2011, for the SK Wyverns from 2012 to 2013 and for the KT Wiz from 2014 to 2015. He also managed KT's minor league team from April 15, 2015 to 2016, and he coached Dongsan High School from 2019 to 2021.

Overall, Lee hit .261/.341/.378 with 239 hits and 12 homers in 7 seasons in the KBO.
