Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Kiyoshi Makino played for the Nagoya Golden Dolphins in the 1936 spring season and Nagoya in that year's fall season of Nippon Professional Baseball. He started the First Japan Professional Baseball League game and allowed one run in one inning to Dai Tokyo before Herbert North relieved. He thus gave up the first run in the history of the Japanese Professional Baseball League. He was 1-3 with a 12.19 ERA in 20 2/3 innings in the first campaign and 0-0 with a 0.00 mark in one inning the latter. He also played two games in the outfield. He was 2 for 10 with six walks, a double, a run and three RBI.
