Dai Tokyo
Dai Tokyo was founded in Feburary 1936 as the sixth team in the Japan Baseball League. The team was owned by the Kokumin Shimbun. The team finished the 1936 Spring/Summer season with no wins and one tie versus 13 losses. Dai Tokyo placed last in the 1936 Fall season with a 5-21-2 record. The team improved to sixth place in the 1937 Spring season. Dai Tokyo was renamed Lion midway through the 1937 Fall season.
