Biographical Information[edit]

Kevin Reese was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 27th round of the 2000 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Tim McWilliam and made his pro debut that summer. In December 2001, the Padres traded Reese to the New York Yankees for Bernie Castro.

Following the end of his career as a player in 2008, he was hired as a professional scout by the Yankees. In 2016, he was promoted to Director of professional scouting, and after the 2017 season, he succeeded Gary Denbo as Vice-President of Player Development.
