Biographical Information

Kevin Miranda has pitched in the minors and for the Panamanian national team.

He started his collegiate career at Clarendon College. Transferring to LSU-Shreveport, he was 4-1 with a 4.39 ERA in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 then improved to 6-3, 5.19 in 2021 and 13-1, 2.44 in 2022. He struck out 156 and walked 13 in 88 2/3 IP in 2022. He led the Red River Athletic Conference in wins and Ks, winning RRAC Pitcher of the Year honors.

An undrafted free agent, he signed with the Toronto Blue Jays. He split 2023 between the Dunedin Blue Jays (1-0, Sv, 1.11 in 7 G) and Vancouver Canadians (2-5, 4.35 in 17 G). In '24, he pitched for the FCL Blue Jays (0-1, 2 R in 2 1/3 IP), Dunedin (1-1, Sv, 4.66 in 5 G), Vancouver (2-1, 3.57 in 6 G) and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (1-1, 2.86 in 5 G). He then was with Panama for the 2024 Premier 12. In his lone outing, he was a bright spot in their 9-3 loss to Team USA. He relieved Gilberto Chu with a 7-0 deficit in the second and one out. He immediately quieted the explosive US bats, striking out Colby Thomas and retiring Termarr Johnson. He allowed four hits and a walk in 3 1/3 shutout innings, striking out four. Severino González took over for him. He tied Steven Fuentes for the team lead in the event for most innings without allowing a run.
