Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Kevin Griffin played in independent ball from 2005 to 2010. He hit a career-high .320/.398/.449 with 3 home runs, 37 RBI, 15 stolen bases and 22 doubles in 77 games for the Harlingen WhiteWings in 2008; the previous year, he had hit .291/.381/.401 with 12 stolen bases in 64 games for the Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings. Overall, Griffin batted .273/.352/.370 with 12 home runs, 155 RBI and 36 stolen bases in 376 games over 6 seasons.

He managed the Ruidoso Osos to begin the 2011 campaign, but was replaced by Billy Page partway through the year. He later spent time as the hitting coach for the Amarillo Sox, the pitching coach for the Grand Prairie AirHogs and the hitting coach for the Sioux Falls Canaries. From 2014 to 2018, he served as an assistant coach at Texas A&M International University. He has also been an assistant coach at Laredo Community College, manager of the Alaska Summer League's Peninsula Oilers in 2015, and head coach at Cave Spring High School, Roanoke Catholic High School and Merritt Island High School.
