Biographical Information[edit]
Kevin Erminio earned a B.S. in Biology in 1991 from Tusculum College where he was an all-conference shortstop. He also has a Master's Degree in Education and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
Erminio entered the college coaching ranks immediately after college and stayed there through 2019. He was an assistant coach at Tusculum from 1992-1995 and a volunteer assistant coach at Clemson University from 1996-1998. While at Clemson, he also gained coaching experience with summer collegiate baseball teams. Erminio was an assistant coach for the Waynesboro Generals in 1996 and their head coach in 1997. He moved to the Edenton Steamers in 1998 as their head coach.
Following his Clemson years, Erminio served as an assistant coach for the Berry College Vikings from 1999-2000, the Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders in 2000-2005, and the Miami University Red Hawks in 2006. The Kennesaw State University Owls hired Erminio as an assistant coach in mid-2006 and he coached the Owls for the next 13 years. Throughout his college coaching career, Erminio helped to develop a number of pitchers who were drafted by major league teams.
In 2020 the Cleveland Indians hired Erminio to be the Mahoning Valley Scrappers pitching coach before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. Erminio was the pitching coach for the Lake County Captains in 2021, the Lynchburg Hillcats in 2022 and Lake County again in 2023-2024.
