Biographical Information[edit]

Kevin Ayala was on the first Salvadoran national team in a Bolivarian Games. Either he or Francisco Flores scored the country's first run in the 2017 Bolivarian Games, versus Colombia. He also had their only run against Venezuela. He hit .222/.333/.278 with four runs in five games, handling eight putouts error-free. He tied Jorge Alfaro, a future major leaguer, for fifth in runs. The outfielder led El Salvador in runs while only Flores and Calvin Estrada had better averages. [1]

In the 2017 Central American Games, he hit .188/.316/.188 with two runs and a RBI in the round-robin then singled off Alejandro Amézquita and stole second in the Bronze Medal Game before the game ended in the second inning due to rain, both teams getting Bronzes. [2] He hit .259/.322/.278 at Fairmont State in 2018 and .303/.359/.382 in 2019 with 18 steals in 26 tries. In the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games Central American Qualifier, he was 0 for 9 while having 3 putouts, one assist and no errors in left. He had one walk, from Pablo Barquero. El Salvador was using the event as a warm-up as they had already qualified for the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games. [3]
