Fang was selected by the Brother Elephants in the 2009 CPBL Draft.[1] He only stayed there for a half season and was traded to the Sinon Bulls for Chien-Yu Kuo, Chien-Hsun Wang and 10,000 NTD. Fang debuted in 2010, recorded a .231/.281/.250 batting line in 37 games. [2] He didn't get many chances, as the Bulls had All-Star catcher Da-Hung Cheng in their roster. When the CTBC Brothers signed Cheng in 2016, Fang took over his spot, recorded .239/.324/.422 with 8 homers in 78 appearances.

2017 was Fang's breakout year. He played a career-high 90 games, batted .250/.320/.403 with 8 homers, and selected into the All-Star game first time in his career. He also won both Best Ten and Gold Glove awards as a catcher. However, he hurt his left abdomen next year, and Kun-Sheng Lin came back to took his spot. Fang never recovered from that injury, recorded a .160/.238/.214 batting line in 2018. He only played 51 more games in the league, and the Fubon Guardians released him on December 21, 2021.
