Katsuji Sei

Katsuji Sei pitched for the Brazilian national team that tied for first in the 1959 South American Championship. In the 1959 Pan American Games, he lost a 2-0 duel to Costa Rican pitcher Dumani. He also allowed 7 runs in 7 2/3 IP of relief against champion Venezuela after Huguiyoski Sugeta had been rocked for 7 runs in 1/3 of an inning. Sei won Silver with Brazil in the 1963 South American Championship. A 1968 article said he was the most famous player in Brazilian baseball; at the time, he owned a team there.
