Justino Cuevas played in the minors and for the Dominican national team.
Cuevas hit .264/.372/.294 for the 2008 DSL Nationals 1 in his pro debut, drawing 24 walks in 45 games, fielding .955 at short and stealing 17 bases in 23 tries. He was in the US in 2009, batting .230/.289/.317 for the GCL Nationals and fielding .930 at SS. As a utility man for the 2010 Hagerstown Suns, he hit .266/.290/.384. He split 2011 between the GCL Nationals (2 for 7), Hagerstown (.243/.280/.378 in 21 G) and the Potomac Nationals (.323/.333/.508 in 19 G). Despite his solid progress, that was it for his time in the Nationals chain. He split 2012 between two independent teams, the Rockford RiverHawks (.282/.328/.410 in 33 G) and the London Rippers/Road Warriors (.285/.305/.3987 in 31 G).
He was with the Dominican squad for the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games, making four errors at short in the opening loss to Nicaragua. He was 1 for 8 with a double and run for the Games and fielded .733, while Omar Luna wound up the main shortstop on the Bronze Medal winners.
